Cathie Wood’s ARK Invest made a string of trades on Friday, September 11, 2026, selling several positions while doubling down on companies tied to artificial intelligence and the space economy.
The biggest sale was 46,015 shares of Twist Bioscience through the ARKK ETF, worth around $5.8 million. ARK has been cutting this position for several weeks.
ARK also sold 60,556 shares of 10X Genomics for about $4 million, and 121,217 shares of Bullish for roughly $4.1 million. Smaller sales included Tempus AI, GeneDx Holdings, and Alphabet.
On the buying side, ARK picked up nearly 115,000 shares of Intellia Therapeutics, worth around $1.4 million. This continues a pattern of steady accumulation in the gene-editing company over the past week.
ARK Bets Big on Meta
Two ARK funds bought a combined $27.9 million of Meta Platforms stock on September 9. Meta shares are currently trading about 18% below their all-time high.
ARK’s research team points to Meta’s 3.6 billion daily app users as a strong advantage. The company is using AI to improve ad targeting and recommendations across its apps.
Meta reported second-quarter revenue growth of 28% year over year. CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Meta’s ad business is growing faster than any other company’s reported ad business on a dollar basis.
Meta plans to spend between $165 billion and $169 billion on capital expenditures in 2026. Wood appears to believe those investments will generate higher free cash flow over time. The stock trades at a forward price-to-earnings multiple of 21.
ARK Loads Up on Rocket Lab
Three ARK ETFs bought around $45 million of Rocket Lab shares between August 31 and September 8. The stock has fallen nearly 60% from its all-time high of $151 set earlier this year.
Rocket Lab reported a 62% year-over-year revenue increase in the second quarter, with a record backlog of $2.36 billion. The company signed $437 million in new bookings since March 31.
CEO Peter Beck described demand for launch services as “extreme.” Management noted that launch booking slots beyond 2029 are “extremely limited,” which could benefit the company as demand grows.
Rocket Lab is also acquiring Iridium, which operates 66 satellites and has over 2.5 million subscribers. Wood appears to be positioning Rocket Lab as a long-term space infrastructure play.
ARK’s flagship ARKK ETF is up about 9% in 2026, lagging the broader market. Four other ARK funds have outperformed the S&P 500 over the past three years.
ARK’s most recent buys point to a clear focus on AI-driven platforms and space infrastructure heading into the final quarter of 2026.
