Robinhood is in talks with Crypto.com to add the crypto exchange’s prediction market contracts to its trading app, The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The arrangement would allow Robinhood users to trade yes-or-no event contracts from Crypto.com’s prediction markets business without leaving the Robinhood platform. No deal is guaranteed, the Journal noted.
Robinhood Builds a Multi-Partner Strategy
Robinhood launched its prediction markets hub in March 2025, initially working with Kalshi to meet regulatory requirements from the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission. It later added ForecastEx and Rothera as contract sources.
Rothera is a CFTC-licensed exchange and clearinghouse that Robinhood invested in alongside Susquehanna International Group in 2025. Adding Crypto.com would point to a hybrid approach — using its own affiliated exchange for some contracts while pulling in outside platforms to broaden its offering.
Robinhood told the Journal it plans to keep working with multiple exchanges to give customers access to a wide marketplace.
The company said more than 16 billion event contracts traded on its platform in 2026 so far, up from 12 billion for all of last year.
Kalshi Feels the Pressure
Kalshi remains one of the largest operators in the US prediction markets space. Its World Cup contracts alone generated around $27 billion in trading volume.
But Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour told the Journal in June that he views Robinhood as a leading competitor — even as Kalshi continues to supply contracts to the brokerage.
Analysts say Robinhood customers have made up a shrinking share of Kalshi’s trading volume since Rothera launched.
Crypto.com launched its prediction market platform OG in February 2026. The platform is powered by Crypto.com Derivatives North America, a CFTC-registered exchange and clearinghouse. The company said weekly activity had grown roughly 40-fold in the six months before launch.
Crypto.com has also used its infrastructure to power prediction markets for other brands, including Fanatics. Its planned integration with Trump Media’s Truth Social has not yet launched.
Bernstein analysts last month raised Robinhood’s price target to $160 per share, up from $130. They cited the company’s outlook for prediction markets and tokenized equities, and forecast prediction market revenue could reach $1.7 billion by 2028.
The broader prediction markets space is growing more competitive. Cboe Global Markets has launched all-or-nothing options tied to the S&P 500, which Charles Schwab plans to offer customers. Coinbase and DraftKings have also moved to secure their own regulated infrastructure.
Prediction markets still face legal uncertainty in the US, with the CFTC claiming exclusive jurisdiction over event contracts while some state gaming authorities have filed lawsuits to restrict their activities.
