Ripple is taking RLUSD from payments and settlement into corporate cash management, and letting businesses get cash working through their bank for 24 hours a day for those who qualify.
The new capabilities were unveiled at Swell 2026 and combine Ripple Treasury’s existing cash-management tools with AI-driven workflows and blockchain-based financial rails.
Ripple Adds 24/7 Returns for Corporate RLUSD Holdings
The main attraction of the changes is a new feature that targets cash that sits idle overnight, on weekends and holidays.
Subject to the program requirements, eligible customers of Ripple Treasury can receive returns on qualifying digital assets stored in a Ripple wallet, such as Ripple USD. Ripple claims companies don’t have to own the underlying digital-asset transactions.
Ripple’s U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin is RLUSD. Ripple says it maintains highly liquid reserves in segregated accounts, and there are monthly 3rd party attestations. As of Oct. 22, the RLUSD had about $2.38 billion in assets to finance future obligations and $2.53 billion in reserves.

AI Connects Cash Forecasts Directly to Execution
Ripple Treasury’s new orchestration layer integrates with GSmart, its treasury AI system, to automate cash positioning, forecasting, reconciliation, and payments.
The difference here is that the software is meant to relate decisions to execution, not just create dashboards or forecasts.
Companies can decide the autonomy of each workflow, from manual to semi-autonomous to fully autonomous, says Ripple.
Corporate Cash Becomes a New Stablecoin Battleground
Ripple is looking to build a big stack of corporate funds. The company referenced the results of the 2026 AFP Liquidity Survey, which revealed that 46% of organizations saw gains in their U.S. cash balances from a year ago. Another 86% of treasury respondents indicated that their companies would consider using real-time funds if they fit their investment policies.
This leaves room for stablecoins to enter the treasury space and compete not just in payments, but also when it comes to the availability of cash, settlement and yield.
According to Ripple Treasury, the platform already processes over $100 billion in cash flow every day, has a network of over 13,000 banks and enables over $13 trillion in payment volume.
Ripple Builds on Its $1 Billion GTreasury Deal
The new deployment comes after Ripple’s $1 billion acquisition of GTreasury in October 2025, giving it first-hand experience with enterprise treasury management.
The acquisition brought with it decades of corporate cash-management experience to Ripple’s blockchain platforms, and gave birth to Ripple’s present-day treasury platform.
Ripple has also been working to grow RLUSD’s institutional footprint. Standard Chartered began offering custody for RLUSD on XRP Ledger this month and is working with Ripple and LMAX Group on using the stablecoin as eligible collateral in institutional markets.
For Ripple, the strategy now extends beyond moving money onchain. It is positioning RLUSD as part of a broader enterprise stack covering liquidity, custody, AI-driven treasury operations and 24/7 settlement.
