We opened our doors in 2011. Fifteen years and more market cycles than we can count later, we’re still here, serving 190+ countries. In 2015, almost 11 years ago to the day, we were the first exchange to list ETH.

From August 5 through August 31, 2026, every $1 you trade earns you one entry into our anniversary sweepstakes. At the end of the month, we’ll draw 15 winners at random, and each one takes home 15 ETH, for 225 ETH in total.
How to enter
- Enroll first. Opt in before you start trading. Trades placed before you enroll won’t earn entries.
- Trade. Every $1 you trade on Spot or Instant Buy earns one entry, up to 1 million entries per person.
- That’s it. Entries add up automatically, and we’ll reach out to winners after the draw.
A few trade types (availability of products and services varies by country) don’t count toward entries:
- Bundles, xStocks, and traditional equities
- Fiat-to-stablecoin and stablecoin-to-stablecoin
- Derivatives and margin
Where you can enter
However you trade with us, whether that’s the Kraken app, Kraken Pro app, or Kraken Pro web, every eligible trade feeds the same entry pool. One pool, one draw, no matter which surface you use.
Who can enter
This sweepstakes is open to eligible clients across most of the markets we serve, including the US, Canada, the European Economic Area, and dozens of other countries.
A handful of countries, including the UK, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Turkey, aren’t eligible due to local rules, and a small number of US states (FL, ME, NY, RI), Puerto Rico, and the Canadian province of Quebec are excluded, too. No purchase or trade is necessary to enter or win: eligible residents can request a free alternate entry instead.
