Six commodity markets, led by gold
Gold is the most requested market in this category, so it leads the launch. Silver, WTI oil, Brent oil, copper, and natural gas join it, putting metals and energy on Kraken Prop alongside the index and crypto markets you can already trade.
Each market is priced off an index oracle and trades 24/7. If you’re used to a futures prop firm whose markets close with the exchange session, that means you can keep a position open through the weekend instead of flattening it on Friday.
The new markets are available in every region where Kraken Prop is offered, except the UAE.

Leverage and notional caps by market
Every market has its own maximum leverage and notional cap. The notional cap is the largest simulated position you can take in that market, which is separate from the size of your funded account.
On all plans other than Lite:
- Gold (GOLD): up to 5x leverage, $500,000 notional cap
- Silver (SILVER): up to 5x leverage, $200,000 notional cap
- WTI oil (CL): up to 5x leverage, $200,000 notional cap
- Brent oil (BRENTOIL): up to 5x leverage, $200,000 notional cap
- Copper (COPPER): up to 10x leverage, $50,000 notional cap
- Natural gas (NATGAS): up to 3x leverage, $50,000 notional cap
Trading a Lite plan? All six commodities are available there too, at up to 20x leverage, and your existing commission rate carries over unchanged.
These limits are under ongoing review and subject to change.
Half the commission on every non-crypto market
On all plans other than Lite, commission on every non-crypto market is now 2 basis points (2bps) per side, down from 4bps. That’s 0.02% of notional each time you open or close a position.
On a $100,000 position, that’s $20 to open and $20 to close, down from $40 each. A round trip now costs $40 instead of $80.
The lower rate applies to the six new commodity markets and to our index markets, S&P 500 and XYZ100, so if you trade the indices, your commission drops too. Crypto markets aren’t changing.
If you already hold an evaluation or a funded account, the new rate applies to it. You don’t need to buy anything to get it.

Adding commodities doesn’t change how Kraken Prop works:

- Profit share: up to 90%
