Datavault AI Inc. (DVLT) stock plunged 21.59% to $0.3032 despite reporting strong second-quarter revenue growth. The shares had traded near $0.39 earlier before extending their decline during Wednesday’s session. Meanwhile, the company reported higher revenue and maintained its ambitious full-year 2026 sales target.
Datavault AI Revenue Jumps 287% in Second Quarter
Datavault AI generated $6.7 million in revenue during the quarter ended June 30, 2026. Revenue increased 287% from $1.7 million reported during the same quarter last year. Gross profit also climbed to $2.9 million from only $35,000 one year earlier.
However, operating expenses increased sharply as Datavault AI continued investing in its technology and commercial infrastructure. Research and development expenses reached $7.2 million, compared with $4.2 million during the prior-year period. Sales and marketing expenses also rose to $7.2 million from $1.7 million.
General and administrative expenses increased to $14.9 million from $6.5 million one year earlier. Therefore, the company’s expanding cost structure remained significant despite the substantial improvement in quarterly revenue. Datavault AI continues spending heavily while building infrastructure for its data monetization and tokenization operations.
Datavault AI Expands Tokenization and Edge Infrastructure
Datavault AI completed its NYIAX acquisition during the quarter and expanded its exchange infrastructure. NYIAX provides programmatic and blockchain-based advertising contract technology for the company’s Information Data Exchange platform. The acquisition also represents Datavault AI’s fifth owned exchange within its broader technology network.
Datavault AI signed a definitive agreement to acquire CyberCatch Holdings through an all-cash transaction. The planned deal would add cybersecurity and quantum-resistant security capabilities to the SanQtum edge platform. Datavault AI also continued working with Fiserv on data monetization and tokenization technology integration.
The company also advanced SanQtum deployments through its partnership with Available Infrastructure. Initial deployments in New York and Philadelphia support a planned nationwide distributed computing network. The infrastructure combines GPU computing, edge AI capabilities, zero-trust networking, and quantum-resilient security technologies.
DVLT Stock Slides Despite $200 Million Revenue Target
Datavault AI also advanced plans involving Project Qestrel after announcing the initiative in July. The project targets 1,000 secure edge data centers across 100 American cities and over 30 states. Datavault AI plans to tokenize access and usage rights for computing capacity through $QEST utility tokens.
The company expanded commercial programs across sports, entertainment, tokenized assets, and strategic minerals. Its licensing relationships include Tyson Fury, Roberto Clemente, Darryl Strawberry, and Dwight Gooden. Datavault AI also signed an agreement with Perpetuals.com involving secondary-market access for tokenized real-world assets.
Despite the stock decline, Datavault AI maintained its full-year 2026 revenue target of at least $200 million. That forecast represents approximately 400% year-over-year growth if the company reaches its stated target. However, DVLT stock fell 21.59% to $0.3032 as the market reacted to the quarterly update.
