Big news!
@Costco is now available nationwide on @UberEats 🛒 🇺🇸This one has great personal meaning to me (on top of tremendous impact for Uber and our customers)

DoorDash said Costco was one of the most-searched retailers not yet available on its US app. The company already offered Costco delivery in Australia, Sweden, and Puerto Rico, but had no nationwide US agreement until now.
Customers will be able to order groceries, household items, and electronics through DoorDash. Delivery is only available to Costco members, who will need to link their membership to their DoorDash account.
Costco has around 81 million members worldwide, with most based in the United States.
Uber Eats Also Goes Nationwide
The DoorDash deal comes just days after Uber Eats announced its own expansion of Costco delivery across the US. Uber Eats had been offering Costco delivery in only 17 states under a deal announced in 2024.
Uber Eats already delivers from Costco in several international markets, including Japan, France, Spain, Canada, and Mexico. The US expansion brings it in line with its global operations.
Costco has offered delivery through Instacart for nearly a decade. The addition of DoorDash and a full Uber Eats rollout gives members more options to shop from home.
What This Means for Delivery Platforms
Both DoorDash and Uber Eats have been pushing to grow their grocery delivery business in the US. Last fall, both companies struck deals with Kroger, the largest supermarket chain in the country.
Adding Costco to their US platforms is another step in that direction. Costco is based in Issaquah, Washington, and is known for its bulk products and warehouse-style stores.
The DoorDash partnership is described as a first for the company in the US market with Costco. DoorDash is headquartered in San Francisco.
Uber Eats did not give a specific timeline for when all US states would have access under its expanded Costco deal. DoorDash did not specify a launch date for all locations either.
The partnerships give Costco broader delivery reach without building its own logistics network. Members can shop from their local warehouse through two of the biggest delivery apps in the country.
Costco’s existing Instacart relationship remains in place. The retailer now has three major delivery partners operating across the US.
Both DoorDash and Uber Eats have been competing for grocery market share as demand for at-home delivery continues. Costco’s membership base of tens of millions gives both platforms a large potential customer pool.
