Cerebras Systems (CBRS) stock climbed more than 12% to around $214 on Friday afternoon, as a combination of factors pushed the AI chipmaker higher.
The stock has now closed higher for three straight days, building momentum since September 2, the day after the company announced a new AI data center in Mikkeli, Finland.
Cerebras developed the new facility in partnership with Compute Nordic Finland. The center is expected to scale to 165 MW, expanding the company’s European footprint and tapping into growing demand for sovereign AI infrastructure.
The stock also got a lift from the broader AI chip sector, which rallied after Nvidia announced plans to acquire Hugging Face in a deal worth roughly $13 billion. Rosenblatt Securities analyst Kevin Cassidy described the move as Nvidia “continuing to use its balance sheet to maintain the health of the AI ecosystem as it rapidly expands.”
Steady U.S. Treasury yields on Friday added to the positive tone, as stable or lower yields can reduce borrowing costs for investors.
Strong Q2 Results Fueled the Run
Backing up the momentum is Cerebras‘ second-quarter 2026 earnings report, which beat expectations by a wide margin. Core revenue came in at $209.9 million, well above analyst estimates of around $190.6 million, and up roughly 74% year-over-year.
CFO Bob Komin said performance exceeded expectations across all core operational metrics. Management responded by raising full-year 2026 core revenue guidance to between $880 million and $890 million.
The company also reiterated plans to more than triple revenue in 2027, backed by $25.4 billion in remaining performance obligations.
Mizuho Securities reiterated its Buy rating on the stock in late August. ARK Invest has also been an active buyer of CBRS in recent weeks.
Where the Stock Stands
CBRS is trading well above its 52-week low of $160.81 but remains a long way from its 52-week high of $386.34.
Friday’s gain was largely company-driven. The Nasdaq edged only fractionally higher, while the S&P 500 and Dow Jones were modestly in the red.
Cerebras’ CS-4 accelerator, unveiled in August, is marketed as delivering up to 30 times the throughput of GPU-based systems, keeping the company competitive against Nvidia and rivals like CoreWeave.
On Wall Street, CBRS holds a Strong Buy consensus rating based on 10 Buy ratings assigned since the stock’s Nasdaq debut in mid-May.
The average analyst price target sits at $296, implying around 40% upside from current levels.
