Volta Initiative Expands Beyond Ghana
Blockchain Meets Agricultural Trade
A key initiative for which the partnership is providing support is the Volta Initiative: a blockchain-enabled mobile app to facilitate trading with smallholder farmers in the trading of Ghana.
The next phase of the project will expand Volta to other areas, and examine financial instruments capable of meeting real challenges of farmers and other actors in local markets.
Credit and risk management are those areas, which may also make the project more of a financial force than a trade enabler.
