Following ‘Incredible Traction’ Coinbase Makes its Wallet Available as a Standalone Browser Extension
Leading cryptocurrency exchange in the US, Coinbase is now making its Wallet available as a standalone browser extension.
In an announcement this week, Sid Coelho-Prabhu, Group Product Manager at Coinbase, said that ever since first introducing a downloadable browser extension of Coinbase Wallet in May, they’ve “seen incredible traction.”
The Wallet, the company said, makes it easier to securely connect to decentralized apps (dapps) and decentralized finance (DeFi) from more devices.
Unlike the previous version, the new version allows users to directly access all the services made available by Coinbase. The new version also doesn’t require the user to have the Wallet mobile app installed.
Now, by bringing full standalone functionality to Coinbase Wallet extension, users can access crypto, browse dapps, trade on DEXs, earn interest, and collect NFTs with just a few clicks, said Coinbase.
The company said it will continue working “to empower everyone to use dapps and web3 by building the easiest-to-use and most accessible self-custody wallet in the ecosystem.”
🎉 I dare say we might have built the best experience for using dapps on desktop browsers, and so much more to come
