You can learn a lot about a company from its founder’s convictions. Ian Issa started HashNet in 2022, and his writing returns again and again to a handful of firm beliefs. Here are seven of them, in his own words, and what each looks like in practice at HashNet.
1. Let software do what software does best
“Why is a person doing a job software can do in milliseconds?”
This question led directly to the Alpha Engine, HashNet’s system for switching mining hardware between coins within each algorithm group. It re-points hardware in roughly 12 milliseconds (company-reported), with no manual input.
2. Automation is not an excuse to stop being responsible
“Automation should never mean abdication.”
At HashNet, engineers define the limits the Alpha Engine operates within, monitor it through alerts and reviews, and can step in at any time. The system handles speed and repetition; people handle judgement and responsibility.
3. If it runs critical infrastructure, it must be inspectable
“Intelligence is powerful; intelligence you can inspect is trustworthy.”
Issa does not believe in black-box AI for critical infrastructure. When a model makes a decision that affects operations, HashNet wants to know why and keeps a record its team and reviewers can examine.
4. Prove it, don’t promise it
“Don’t trust us, verify us.”
For HashNet, this is literal. Its Bitcoin payouts land on-chain, on public addresses, every eight hours. Anyone with a wallet address and a block explorer can confirm them.
5. Be precise, especially about limits
“I want to be precise rather than sweeping.”
That shows in how HashNet describes itself. Its switching speed is labelled company-reported. It states that internal switching decisions are not on a blockchain. And it lists its compliance as specific facts: HashNet Infrastructure LLC is licensed in the UAE, an invoice is issued for every purchase, and hosting partners hold their own facility licences.
6. Build to last, not just to move fast
“I would rather build something that lasts than something that merely moves fast.”
Issa rejects the idea that regulation slows innovation. In his view, compliance is what lets serious companies last, and those that took the rules seriously early are the ones still standing.
7. Size is a milestone, not the mission
“Being among the larger players is a milestone, not a mission.”
HashNet was featured among the top five multi-crypto miners in ZyCrypto’s 2026 review. For Issa, the real question is what to do with that position: prove that an integrated ecosystem of AI, blockchain and automation works under real pressure.
The thread running through them
Read together, the principles share one idea: trust should be earned in ways people can check. That is the standard Issa has set for HashNet, and the one he invites customers, partners and the wider industry to hold the company to.
