Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by volume, which just suffered a major attack that sent shockwaves through the broad crypto ecosystem, has just issued a new update featuring Shiba Inu.
As the exchange remains actively committed to curtailing the damage caused by the unprecedented crypto heist, it has restored withdrawals for certain cryptocurrencies after putting them on hold since the incident.
Shiba Inu withdrawals resume on Binance
In a recent announcement released today, the exchange revealed that it has re-enabled withdrawals for SHIB and dozens of other crypto assets across the Ethereum and Solana networks.
While the move appears exciting for affected members of the Shiba Inu community, it comes as Binance continues to restore services to their state before the attack.
With the new update, Binance users can now withdraw SHIB and 32 other crypto tokens on Ethereum that had been previously disabled, with the exchange confirming that withdrawals for several Ethereum-based stablecoins had already been restored.
In addition to this, Binance also revealed that it has reopened withdrawals for 22 cryptocurrencies based on the Solana network.
Solana and Ethereum networks regain full withdrawal
Apart from SHIB, other major tokens on Ethereum with withdrawals restored on Binance include Ethena (ENA), Ethena USDe (USDE), Pendle (PENDLE), Worldcoin (WLD), Chainlink (LINK), Ondo (ONDO), and Bitcoin (BTC).
Meanwhile, Pump.fun (PUMP), Render (RENDER), Raydium (RAY), Bonk (BONK), Jupiter (JUP), and Dogwifhat (WIF) are among the other cryptocurrencies based on Solana with withdrawal services fully activated again.
While there are still many cryptocurrencies whose withdrawals remain on hold, Binance has encouraged users that it will continue to restore withdrawals for additional assets and networks in phases as security checks are completed.
