Cathie Wood’s ARK Invest made several large trades on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. The firm’s exchange traded funds released their daily trading update showing big changes across multiple stocks.
ARK sold 181,767 shares of Advanced Micro Devices. The sale was spread across four of ARK’s funds and totaled about $110.5 million. This continues a pattern of ARK reducing its stake in the chip maker over recent months.
At the same time, ARK bought 356,681 shares of Nvidia. The purchase was worth roughly $81.6 million and was made through the same group of funds.
ARK Adds to Tesla and Other Holdings
ARK also bought 48,352 shares of Tesla through its Innovation fund. The purchase was valued at about $17.28 million.
The firm made other notable trades too. ARK bought shares of Broadcom worth $26.6 million and shares of CoreWeave worth $21.6 million.
ARK also added to its position in Intellia Therapeutics, spending about $2.3 million. It bought Veracyte shares worth $5.4 million as well.
On the selling side, ARK reduced its holdings in Tempus AI, Twist Bioscience, 10x Genomics, and Zillow. The 10x Genomics sale was the largest of this group at $38.5 million.
Smaller trades included purchases of Airbnb, Block, and Space Exploration Technologies Corp. ARK also sold a small number of Alphabet shares.
Tesla Stock Moves After SEC Decision
Tesla stock fell 1.29% during Tuesday’s regular trading session. However, the stock edged higher in after-hours trading once new information reached investors.
The move followed a decision from the Securities and Exchange Commission. The SEC cleared a new Tesla program that lets retail shareholders automatically vote with the company’s board.
Under the plan, investors can choose to have their shares vote with board recommendations on most matters. They can still leave out contested director elections and some major company deals from this automatic setting.
Shareholders can join the program for free. They can sign up directly through Tesla, their broker, or a voting service.
Investors can also change or cancel their voting instructions whenever they want. Tesla says the goal is to make it easier for everyday investors to take part in company votes.
Tesla pointed to numbers showing retail investors voted just 28% of their shares in 2025. That compares to 76.6% for larger institutional investors.
The SEC clearance comes as investors also watch for news about a possible SpaceX transaction. Such a deal could raise new questions about Elon Musk’s compensation at Tesla, though nothing has been confirmed.
Wall Street holds a Moderate Buy rating on Tesla stock overall. That rating is based on 12 Buy ratings, 12 Hold ratings, and two Sell ratings issued over the past three months.
The average price target among analysts sits at $391.40 per share. That target suggests upside potential of close to 11% from current levels.
