TLDR
- PUMP is up 84% over the past week and 13% on the day, outperforming a broader market that is down 1.9%
- Pump.fun has bought back more than $1 million of PUMP tokens per day for three straight days
- 24-hour trading volume hit $781 million, up 43.68%, showing strong market participation
- Key resistance sits at $0.0055, with RSI at 77.55 placing PUMP in overbought territory
- A Q4 2026 tokenomics update could burn up to 36% of total PUMP supply
Pump.fun’s PUMP token has rallied 84% over the past seven days, reaching $0.005136, even as the broader crypto market dropped 1.9%. The token is one of the strongest performers in the market right now.

The main driver behind the move is Pump.fun’s token buyback program. The platform uses a portion of its trading revenue to buy PUMP tokens directly from the market. For three days in a row, those buybacks have exceeded $1 million per day, including $1.01 million in the most recent 24-hour window.
That creates consistent buying pressure tied directly to platform revenue, not just market sentiment.
Trading volume has followed the price higher. PUMP’s 24-hour volume climbed 43.68% to over $781 million, which shows the rally has real participation behind it rather than just thin-market moves.
Breakout From Downtrend
PUMP had been stuck in a long-term descending trend for much of the year, hitting a low near $0.0011 in July. Since then, the token has climbed steadily, breaking above the descending trendline and reclaiming the $0.00237 level before pushing higher.
The recovery has created a series of higher highs and higher lows since late July, with the sharpest acceleration coming after August 19.
Crypto analyst CryptoKaleo shared his view on X, noting that the PUMP chart looks like it’s “speed running its way back to all time highs.” His comment reflects the pace of the recovery from July lows.

RSI currently sits at 77.55, putting PUMP in overbought territory. The Ultimate Oscillator reads 60.08, keeping broader momentum positive but flagging that fast reversals are possible given the size of the weekly move.
What’s Coming Next
The next key level to watch is $0.0055. A clean break above that resistance, supported by strong volume, could open the door toward $0.0060 and $0.0065. A rejection there would likely push PUMP into consolidation between $0.0045 and $0.0055.

Pump.fun also has a decentralized bounty platform called GO planned for Q3 2026, which could drive more on-chain activity and feed more revenue into the buyback program.
In Q4 2026, the project is targeting a major tokenomics update that could burn up to 36% of total PUMP supply. Expansion to Ethereum and Monad is also planned for the same quarter.
The most recent data shows $1.01 million in PUMP buybacks over the last 24 hours, with the token holding above $0.0051.
