Shinhan Brings the BUIDL Model to Korea
The program is structured like the most obvious tokenized money market offering in the digital asset space: BlackRock’s BUIDL fund.
The proposed arrangement seems to enable overseas institutional investors to take a stake in aKRW through tokenization on Solana and be managed by Shinhan Investment Management. The work is ongoing with technology validation and is not a product release at this time.
Shinhan said the proof-of-concept will cover the entire lifecycle of a token-based investment fund. This encompasses investor onboarding, KYC and AML policing, token issuance, regulatory compliance examination, blockchain functioning, as well as secondary market liquidity design.
